The Kerry Cowboy
I have recently started working with Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin also known as The Kerry Cowboy. Séaghan is a farming influencer and TV presenter who also aims to promote the use of the Irish language. He is also a brand ambassador for the Kerry Farm & Home Store and I have filmed two videos with him to promote their calf range and bird feeder range. He also recently partnered with the Irish Farmers Journal and we filmed a video to promote his discount code for their home delivery subscription.
Biddy's Day 2024
I provided video coverage of the events across the 3 day Biddy's Day festival. This footage was then edited into 2 highlights videos, one of the parade and one covering all the events. The festival has been running for a few years but this year was the first time they invested in video coverage and the committee could not be happier with what Mid-Kerry Media provided. The videos will be released in the run up to next year's festival, and the committee has already asked me to film that too.
Aftershock
I filmed Aftershock's show in Tralee Town Square for Féile Thrá Lí. I edited together an event video that was posted soon after the show on their social channels, edited a video for one of their covers, a video with all their original songs to send to venues and individual videos of their original songs. Other projects include a music video for their single The Heartbreak and filming their headline show at Mike The Pies.
Kerry Way Ultra 2023
I was the finish line photographer for the 2023 Kerry Way Ultra. I spent the day photographing the competitors crossing the finish line as well as photographing the general vibe around the finish line. I then had to sort through all the photographs, picking out the best ones which were then sent on to be published online.
Féile Lughnasadh
For the second year in a row, I produced 3 days of content for the Féile Lughnasadh festival in Milltown, Co. Kerry hosted by the Milltown-Listry branch of Comhaltas Ceolteoirí na hÉireann. I edited 3 vertical highlight reels for each day of the festival. I also filmed and edited together a thank you video mentioning all the festival stakeholders. In addition to this, I edited multiple short videos using my footage from the previous year which were uploaded in the weeks prior to the festival.
Simple Things
I filmed and directed a music video for the band Simple Things, for their single Drop In The Ocean. We shot the video on Ballybunion beach and Instagram influencer Tracey Collopy stars in the video. I also filmed 15 short videos beforehand with the band to promote snippets of the song on social media. These videos were also used in their advertising campaigns. In addition, I've also filmed various videos for them to promote their new releases and their tour.
Killarney Historic Rally
I worked with the team from On The Limit Sports for their TV program of the Killarney Historic Rally 2022. I was asked to film at the cermonial start ramp on the night before, and then I joined the camera crew that were filming the Ballaghbeama stages the next day. Some of my footage was shown in their TV program which was broadcast on national and international television.
Tango Street Food
For the peak season in 2023, I helped Tango Street Food in Killarney with their social media. We met a couple times a month for photo and video content sessions, and I also designed and planned posts for their Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts. After handing over the social media reigns to Mid-Kerry Media, the restaurant saw a huge increase in engagement and brand awareness across all platforms.
Ballymacandy: The Play
I was asked by Owen to film his 90-minute play Ballymacandy. This video was then shown to the whole cast at a gathering after the final running of shows.
Civil War Plaque Unveiling
To honour 3 civilians from Milltown that were killed during the Irish Civil War, a plaque was unveiled in the town square to remember the victims. I was asked to produce both a full recording of the event, and a shorter video of the day's proceedings. I filmed this with 2 cameras to allow me to vary my angles, and make the video a bit more interesting. The event was hosted by Owen O' Shea, and I was asked to film it as he was very happy with the other videos that I have filmed for him previously.
Kerry Way Ultra 2022
I was asked by Niall and Sean from the media team to provide some additional footage for the Killarney segment of the race. I had to film the winner crossing the finish line at Killarney Racecourse at 3:15am, and in the morning I filmed at Torc Waterfall, Muckross, and at the finish line.
The Rising Promo Video
I was asked to film some footage of the band's performance in Reidy's Pub, Killarney, which was then edited into a promo video for them. I sent them all the footage and they edited the video themselves. The video has been viewed thousands of times and has really helped them gain more traction online.
Killorglin 60th Panto
I was asked to do a simple, single camera recording of the matinee performance of the pantomime, with a direct audio feed from the sound engineer's mixing desk. The video was then shown to the cast and crew so that changes could be made ahead of the full running of shows.
Bryan Murphy Concert
I filmed Bryan and his band's first ever concert which took place in St. John's Theatre in Listowel. The concert was sold out and I was tasked with recording the full show along with a short highlight video of the show
